saw them in concert live last year, they def sing live! you could hear some panting into the mic and gasping of breath every now and then during their concerts but say, there must be a reason why they’re able to sell out NFL and MLB stadiums worldwide. the amount of training that they do and the amount of work they put into their craft is def noticeable!! the one you said was a powerhouse vocal is their main vocal, park jihyo, who also happens to be their leader!!

Many others kpop group did killing voice and gets praise for their live performance, but when it’s Twice, it’s not live anymore. Sorry not sorry but they can sing

I think there’s the tiniest bit of backtrack at a lower volume, you can hear it when Chaeyoung is rapping during Moonlight Sunrise, (31:33), and at the start of Heart Shaker, (9:30) but they’re singing louder into the mics than the backtrack, so it’s still only their voices being heard.

Also when they’re starting Knock Knock at around 7:03, you can hear that Nayeon starts singing a little off the beat, maybe because she was distracted by Momo’s joke.

I’m not saying this to “discredit” TWICE, I’m just saying that Yes, their vocals are live, but they also have a backing track.
There’s a difference between Live Vocals, and Raw Vocals.

Also, they’re adding things spontaneously during the songs, like Jeongyeon saying “Im Nayeon… saranghae” at the start of “one spark”. That’s definitely not a part of the back track. x) And the “between song talks” are also spontaneous, like when Tzuyu messes up the beginning of “I Got You”. Or when Jihyo has a… hic-up, or something at the start of Moonlight Sunrise. (30:10)

What I’m saying is that the mics are definitely On, and they’re definitely singing into the mics.

The girl you keep sayin that has “the powerhouse” voice is God Jihyo. Jihyo is the leader and main vocal of the group.

When you notice Jihyo n Nayeon have a powerhouse vocal, i agree.
Also when they sing together, its really blend perfectly, just as you said, such a harmony
